I don't usually like to be a live action adaptation hater, I feel like there's often a lot of interesting possibilities to explore creatively when switching from animation to live action so having said that, believe me when I say adapting champloo is a bad idea and will inevitably suck shit

on a first playthrough, dogma into beast is a really powerful progression imo. tboi has always had this push and pull between the high concept struggles isaac faces via his relationship with religion and the more grounded issues with his parents. dogma (religion) and beast (mom). they do complement.

it's a great joy when someone articulates something you've thought about but never put into words. I should not have to do legwork to figure out whether your game is a sequel to a game I've never heard of, or just a game with an unnecessarily long title!

Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead. I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

just beat @qdork.bsky.social's Consume Me. I really loved it! there aren't enough games out there which feel so earnest to their creators' experience. this one is special. plus, I mean come on, it has a really good dog, who deserves that cookie. highly recommend checking it out (and feeding the dog)

just played a bit of Space Hole - it's neat, and only a dollar! nice and comfortable to control - I very much enjoy cruising through space. worth picking up and messing around with.

I took my time with it, but I'm happy to say I beat Death Stranding 2 today. so much to say about it, so many emotions, but man I love this game. I'm glad kojima is still doing his thing, however insane it can be at times. I'll make a video talking about the game in more depth at some stage.

it's been a long time since I saw Howl's Moving Castle, but I think it's the Ghibli film that sticks with me the most visually. it's not even close to my favorite Ghibli! but its imagery is burned into my brain, and I'm okay with that. I love the way it feels, above all else.

I could never sum up the impact undertale made in such a small number of characters - but I did my best! it's a videogame which changes the way you think about videogames. it has stayed with me over the past decade, and I'll wager it'll stay with me throughout the next decade, too. happy 10 years :)
