Quartz 5 just dropped with support for Canvas and Bases. That means it supports Obsidian's own custom formats better than the official Obsidian Publish service can! That's certainly a twist I didn't expect, and from a free platform no less.

I've been hearing a lot of anecdotes lately about how students AND professors have become reliant on generative AI, so it is a relief to see pushback from students. Education is in a sorry state, but not all hope is lost :3

People are right to claim that Wikipedia has structural biases, but its goal is to reflect existing published material. So representing underrepresented voices in Wikipedia would likely involve overhauling the very research and publishing process that creates its reliable, secondary sources.

This might just be the worst language picker I've ever seen in a UI concept... As we all know, there is only one language that uses the Latin alphabet.

Was editing the Evernote article on Wikipedia and discovered that the version information in the infobox was actually coming from some template that I never realized existed. Seems like everyone else forgot it existed too, since its last edit was FOUR (4) years ago.

Although personally, I think this essay is better pictured as an argument against "everything apps" and the use of one single markup language for the variety of needs different workflows and info types require.

I follow a feed for personal knowledge management posts, and most of them are from productivity gurus nowadays. Most of them post about how AI is "enhancing" their PKM practices too.
