Chatting with a pal at the animation expo in Nashville reminded me of some flashback-to-the-Exodus-story scenes that I did for an otherwise CG animated feature; the scenes ended up not being used, and I don't think I ever shared them. None of them are "complete", but here's one of the elements:

Scrolling through the entries for this pose, seeing a very common error: When drawing the head, the tilt of the head is communicated almost entirely by the position of the ears relative to the face. A downward tilt, like this, puts the bottom of the ears in line with the eyes, not the nose.

Anyways, I've been reading "House of Lilies" which is a book overview of the Capetians for a general audience, which is pretty neat, since I think there's such a bias towards the English side of things in medieval history in the anglophone world. However...

Yesterday I was finally able to devote a day to just drawing and working on my comic. And oooooh God I really needed that soooo badly....I completed 3 pages and laid out 3 more... It's nice to actually DO things well with concentration instead of stealing time here and there
