LRT Tokyopop licensing more booklets outside of the Lullaby of the Dawn ones is so cool!!! It seems like these are all Animate ones too. iirc so far they've been the only print publisher to really print tokuten booklets, which is cool.

I've only been to ALA Annual once in 2023 and it was just when I was applying to start my MLIS. And omg yeah it was so cool to see all the publishers there. I was able to get a few books myself. Definitely going to next year's Annual!

LRT Working in circulation, oh yeah comics for kids and teens especially circulate like crazy. Even from my experience most of the manga I read growing up was thanks to the library!

Reading about BL history is always fascinating, especially seeing the evolution of the genre and the boundaries of what qualifies as BL. I could say with manga in general with demographic genres .. I've seen so many arguments on what qualifies as BL, shojo, seinen, etc. in this last year.

The Lullaby of the Dawn event has finally hit the US, but it's not coming to the Kinokuniya near me... 😢 When the participating locations list released, I was so disappointed about it and now that it's here and seeing the pictures it's back again!
