I definitely think Sinclair and Nexstar made this return an even bigger deal by trying to limit access. They make Trump look even weaker — and their decision more brazenly political.

one advantage to representing yourself is that the court is more lenient about procedural rules. they don't expect a layperson to know them all. you can say/present things that an attorney cannot. can be a tactic to use when you are in a group trial, where others have representation.

I think most judges these days even give a warning along the lines of 'you can do this, its your right....but its a terrible idea'
