Mom, wife, Grandma. Painter, Weaver, knitter, Mushroom Hunter, natural dyer, yarn spinner.
All of this yarn was dyed with one species of mushroom, Phaeolus schweinitzii, commonly known as the dyers polypore. What a variety of color from one mushroom

These videos apparently started because someone reacted to him using a scythe. OK, that's all I have to share. Just very cool and thought some people might find his work inspiring. IG risolve

I took screenshots of all my favorite Twitter buddies when I quit the x place last November. I’m just now getting around to seeing if any of them have migrated over to blue sky and I’m glad to see so many are here🦋

Find a flower with 4 free petals arranged in a cross shape & you’ve most probably found a member of the Brassicaceae! It’s a huge family & the challenge this week for
#Wildflowerhour
is to find a wild or naturalised member of the

in flower. Share your finds this Sunday 8-9pm!

I’m finishing up a cashmere sweater. It’s my own design. I had to make up my own design because I have never learned to follow written patterns. I can figure out shapes just fine but I learned to knit backwards to every knitter. My mom taught me long ago

I got this absolutely gorgeous color from Phaeolus schweinitzii, the dyers polypore. Normally I use this mushroom for gold , yellow and green but I tried a new mordant, titanium oxalate and got this orange/red.
