I’m trying my best to not let things get to me because I know someone somewhere has it worse, but lately I’ve been getting gut punched and kicked while I’m down. But I try to smile through it all. I try to be positive here and everywhere. It’s getting harder all the time, though.

Fun fact: I’m writing a children’s book where my son is the main character. I’ve only written poetry in the 24 years I’ve been writing. This is a huge step out of my comfort zone. But, hey. Why live if all we do is exist? No adventure can be had if the hero just stays home.
