I just designed a character costume that I’m super excited about but can’t share on here agggghhhhhhhhhhhh

I have a very narrow chest because I have pectus excavatum, (I’m currently wearing a 30in compression binder that keeps falling down). But I’m also still kinda bloated from the surgery and meds, so basically I look like Marcus the worm.

I hate saying this because I’m so self loathing, but I’m just so chuffed at how these pages I’m working on are looking. Each chapter I get a bit better. Maybe by the time I hit chapter 17 I’ll have it looking how I want it to look 😆

So one challenge I made for myself after being inspired by @bleaksqueak.bsky.social’s amazing work was to spend more time and effort on expressions in chapter 5, and I was just really happy with this panel.

I’ve been so preoccupied with surgery stuff I forgot to mention I’m pretty sad Fan Expo is not doing San Francisco for 2026, but the last one I went to was pretty disappointing, so guess I’ll start making the trek to San Diego Comic Con 🤷‍♂️
