Within the early years of Game Maker's lifespan, one of the example games budding developers could play around with was a Pac-Man clone. The red Pac-Man featured in the game would go on to be a symbol for the program's "Sprites" function in revisions prior to Game Maker Studio.

Believe it or not, Pac-Man World 2 was once planned to give Pac-Man the ability to punch enemies! There exist animations in the game data for punching while standing still and punching while moving. It even partially functions when hacked back in. (Capture by @McKiddy_SR)

Considering just how common place rigged/puppet animation is in digital animation (hell, a pseudo puppet method is what we use), it is so surreal seeing a version of it exist even way back then Though seeing how cumbersome the old process looks it makes us all the more thankful for current programs

Reminds of an argument we had with a friend because of using the term "voice artists", their point was "well actors are just reading lines from the script/taking direction from the directors, not really adding much" ..Voice artists DO add their own contributions to a vision, like any other creative

Just because I'm the writer/director of TADC doesn't mean I deserve all the credit for everything. There MANY times when a board artist or an animator will come up with a detail or shot that elevate the themes/characterization in a way I didn't even think of, and I'm like "fuuuuuck that's genius..."

One of the cruelest tricks society played on creative people was planting the idea that being proud of your work is somehow unseemly and egotistical. You made a thing! You like it! You SHOULD be proud of it. Brag all you want!

My favorite thing about creating and owning characters is that I can just be needlessly cruel to them for no reason and nobody's allowed to get mad at me.

Before pacman.com was ever operated by Namco, the site was used by a company named Two Bit Score Amusements to sell parts or repairs for Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man machines They also sold modified versions of the games such as "Pac-Man After Dark" and "Ms. Pac Attack"
