100%. I refuse to see pride as a party, a holiday, just a celebration. It's not a parade, it's a march. It's not a celebration, an act of resistance, a time to be visible so queer kids won't grow up like I did (with no one to look to), honor those who made it possible, and continue the fight.

Actually in the sense of full transparency, I haven't celebrated pride in several years because I haven't felt welcome by the larger queer community in as long. So this june, if you really mean it, turn off your phone and go hang out IRL with queers.
