Random companies will straight up look at numbers (mine aren't even "good") and just go, "Yeah, yeah, that'll work!" and the moment you press them on supporting adult work and protecting it: they crumble. I asked these folks how they would protect me and I know they will answer with, "We can't."

A reminder that no: you don't need a random company making your merch, publishing your book, or doing anything like that. You can do almost all of that for yourself, out of your house, and your fans will still love it. You don't need to be "big" to be successful.

I get a lot of fake e-mails about this stuff (the moment you mention cock is the moment event bots apparently die at the keyboard) but the random genuine ones I get absolutely crumble the moment I start asking any questions about how they will stand up for porn and sex work. Pathetic.

That's why my best advice for anyone tired of rejection letters is to MAKE YOU OWN THING! Organize your own bundle, make an anthology happen, do pre-orders for your book! You don't need organizations to make cool things: but you do need to organize YOURSELF. 🌈👍

I see a lot of folks beat themselves up over rejections and I've even had folks tell *me* that I surely never get rejections but uh, not getting into things is actually the norm for me. I only started getting into furry events after 2+ years of applying... this is just how things go.

So far, none of the comic shops I contacted want any of my work. 🤣😱😭💦 Not surprising but still bums me out. I applied to over 20 places by the by. 😘 So it wasn't that I cast a small net or anything. There's various reasons I didn't get anything back and I can't overthink it.
