A new level of Amazon marketing BS: K needed a last-minute baby shower registry gift, so I used my prime ship the gift to her house. Items were tagged "this is a gift" Since then I have been getting texts trying to sell me things for my "New Baby!" Yesterday I got a free sample of Baby Formula.

I'm constantly telling family members about "this book I just read." I think they're getting sick of it. Last weekend my brother asked a question about comic books and I said, excitedly, "Oh! I know this. I read a book about the early history of comics!" & my sister mutters "... of course you did."

This is a reasonable take.

I think a lot of people don't understand that in a world where everyone uses "AI" to vomit out statistically average text, the ability to use words uniquely becomes a premium skill and a critical differentiator.
