Once governing bodies claim the authority to decide who qualifies as a woman & require medical proof to back it up, that authority doesn’t stop with transgender athletes. It extends to any woman whose body falls outside expectations. You're about to see it in action.

Honestly, I was surprised to see so many sports teams post Pride posts over the last two days. I assumed with the cover of this political environment & this administration that many would opt out. 🎉 GOOD NEWS for trans & intersex folks! On Wednesday (4/2), a Montana judge blocked the state from enforcing a bathroom ban targeting trans & intersex adults, which banned them from accessing public restrooms that align with their identity.

Telling a trans person who is sharing their concerns, "Yeah, everyone is a little stressed out right now. It's bad for all of us." isn't wrong, but it's not exactly holding space.

Today the NCAA seized the opportunity to enact a full ban of transgender women in college women's sports. Interestingly enough, the NCAA has said it is not beholden to Title IX in the past... but now as a shield, it wants to preemptively comply with yesterday's glorified press release.

When he says they want to "protect women & girls" ask yourself, WHICH women & girls.... 👀 And then ask yourself, "for how long?"
