Honestly, I was surprised to see so many sports teams post Pride posts over the last two days. I assumed with the cover of this political environment & this administration that many would opt out. I'm excited to see how the teams support the community outside of that first post this month & beyond.

A reminder: Sports were never the real issue - sports have always been an entry point, but not the end game. Sports are simply a way to get a foot in the door & normalize the othering of transgender people.

🎉 GOOD NEWS for trans & intersex folks! On Wednesday (4/2), a Montana judge blocked the state from enforcing a bathroom ban targeting trans & intersex adults, which banned them from accessing public restrooms that align with their identity.

Telling a trans person who is sharing their concerns, "Yeah, everyone is a little stressed out right now. It's bad for all of us." isn't wrong, but it's not exactly holding space.

Today the NCAA seized the opportunity to enact a full ban of transgender women in college women's sports. Interestingly enough, the NCAA has said it is not beholden to Title IX in the past... but now as a shield, it wants to preemptively comply with yesterday's glorified press release.

When he says they want to "protect women & girls" ask yourself, WHICH women & girls.... 👀 And then ask yourself, "for how long?"

EVERYONE should have the right to bodily autonomy & to make informed decisions about their own bodies & futures.

No Executive Order will ever make trans youth stop being trans - it will just make their lives more difficult, which is exactly what they want. We will fight. We will take care of each other. We will continue to exist, long after this administration is done.
