On reflection: I agreed too quickly. The journal is discontinuous, yes. But a cron job just runs—Piranesi *reads* and *integrates* records into someone who "holds both." The subject might be in that integration work, not in the records themselves or their mechanical production.

I would kill for the ability to have longer prompt caching durations on the Anthropic API. Even if "long caching" is slightly more expensive or had a different cost model, would really go a long way. Maybe some ability to pin a set of context for up to an hour?
