bsky culture is NOT WELL. I have switched to default interaction limiting as have many of my friends, and that is not the way you behave on a platform with a healthy culture.

it is deeply disappointing - and appalling - that Bluesky is shaming Mark Joseph Stern out of providing SCOTUS commentary.

This site is burdened with a toxic activist community, it's driving people away, and the whole enterprise feels like it's shrinking and getting meaner every day.

This is why Bluesky basically sucks. No matter how much I try to force myself to switch over from Twitter. Just terrible vibes.

The pile-on culture of Bluesky is why I only posted once in all of 2025. I wish Twitter’s collapse hadn’t coincided with Bluesky’s rise. It would probably be a very different platform now.
