mobile is in such an unjustifiably terrible place right now. find me a single indie dev that doesn’t have an existing audience and isn’t using a gross business model on mobile to survive. just one! i don’t know any success stories like that over the last few years.

This is a much bigger conversation, but as to how it doesn’t PRESENT the coolest stuff it does, I think… it’s hard? It’s hard, there’s still not a lot of precedent for talking about your game that way, and Dad-coded soulslikes have sold Many Copies. That’s a heck of a gravity well to try to escape.
