Bongino saying the quiet--and cynical--part out loud. In other words: I was making money shoveling conspiracy bullshit without having any facts and conning my audience to make a buck. After I leave the FBI, I will get back to that. What a confession.

The good news: 1) Aftyn Behn moved a ruby red district 12 points more blue. 2) She can and should run again in the midterm election. 3) With real investment and good candidates, every R+ 7 or less seat is now in play. The bad news: Rural white voters are still the absolute worst.

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps. McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay. Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay. See the problem?

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw. The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Past is prologue. In 1933, during the Great Depression, a group of wealthy businessmen tried to overthrow the US government and install a fascist dictator to protect their own interests. And everything that led to it feels way too familiar right now. This is not a history lesson, it’s a warning.

The latest Cloudflare and Amazon outages have got me thinking about utilities. We can't build modern software without dependencies. The days of running entirely on the client are over, which I see as a good thing. The cost is that we rely on infrastructure. 1/5
