Today, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released its latest jobs report for August 2025. The report found that the U.S. economy under President Donald Trump added just 22,000 jobs last month and the national unemployment rate has increased to 4.3 percent.

The answer to how we stay relevant was investment + trade remedies. This admin just utterly destroyed the investment... and there's no trade remedy big enough to deal with this, let alone the super affordable BYD EVs.

Is this abundance? This project was approved under FAST-41, meaning it had expedited permit approvals. It also had labor, domestic supply chain, power offtake agreements for communities attached to it... meaning a whole lot of high quality American jobs and affordable energy just went up in flames.

The Grain Belt Express Transmission Line would increase grid reliability and reduce electricity prices for American families. It’s EXACTLY the kind of project experts say we need to meet increasing demand. Hawley, Trump, and Chris Wright just killed it, with zero justification.
