August 2; Today I was working at the Back to School rally. We provided dozens of families with classroom essentials. I got to see students of all ages, say hi and chat with parents, while enjoying the mild weather! I went to Brit's in the afternoon. A lot of good work put in today.

August 1; I was able to get the yard mown without interruption nor threat of heat stroke. I managed to get my laundry done, This evening I attended the Ripley County Fair with the gf and family. Rides were rode, corn dogs were ate, lemonade to quench thirst, and lawnmower races for entertainment.

I think UNDER THE SILVER LAKE gets better every time I watch it.

This Saturday afternoon was so encouraging and hopeful! Between the massive turnouts nationwide for the NO KINGS protest, as well as the 100 or so that turned out locally at the courthouse showed me that this is a dark hour, but there's light on the other side.

Today was a pretty big day for yours truly. My other half held a birthday party for all 3 of her kids. The kids are pretty close together birthday speaking. It was all new to take in! I helped set up, played host along with Britney, and we had quite the memorable time!

I watched David Byrne's TRUE STORIES Tuesday and this question occurred to me just now. Did Wes Anderson watch that picture a lot? There are elements in Byrne's picture that seem encoded in Anderson's overall filmography.
