Absolutely deadly behavior causing another crash on Spruce Street at 5th st early this morning. This is on the busiest bike lane in Philly with over 1,500 riders who use it daily. We deserve so much better than paint and flexposts, we deserve real protection.

My kids have been taking SEPTA to get to/from school since 7th grade. He can take some combination of the 37, 79, BSL, 4, 17, and 45 bus to get home. I just noticed my younger son is on a different route than normal. He knows how to use Transit app to figure out the best way. Makes me proud! 🥰

It's very possible to be a car-free family in much of "Greater Center City" in Philadelphia. The biggest barriers IMO are: * Having a job in the suburbs. f*ck BIRT taxes. * Sending your kids to a private or charter school instead of your local public school. * Kids participating in travel sports.

Every morning, I walk my 8th grader to the SEPTA bus stop, and I see a neighbor putting his 2 young kids in the car to go to day care. It reminded me how as a parent of 15 years now, my children have never had a car be a part of their daily routine. This is probably extremely unique in the US.

I’ve never understood why anyone likes Wendy’s. Their burgers suck. Their fries suck. The only edible thing there is the frosty but I’m lactose intolerant so I can’t even really eat that. McDonalds has the Big Mac and Egg McMuffin. Burger King has the Whopper. Wendy’s has nothing.

Same here. But I still buy a monthly SEPTA pass because there usually isn’t much of a difference between paying per-fare and just getting the unlimited pass. If it means giving SEPTA an extra $20/mo, I don’t mind! And some months, I take transit more often and I’m glad I have the pass!
