The 14th Amendment gives rights to legal due process (and equal protection of the laws) to "any person." Not to any citizen or even any legal resident. When that Amendment wanted to talk about only citizens it did, as in the immediate previous sentence. But here it talks about any person.

I would like to nominate Maxwell Smart for national security advisor.

This ridiculous deflection is such a non sequitur. Due process is what distinguishes us as a people from the monsters who do commit heinous crimes. If there’s no due process, we’re a society that can just lynch people on an accusation, with no need to get it right.

Ask yourself: Why would anyone who wasn’t an asset of the Russian government do this? Why would any decent human being do this?

Never forget this day, February 28, 2025, when an American president abused and betrayed a democratic ally in the midst of a barbaric war with Russia. This grotesque stain will never wash away.
