Considering giving all of the Halo Mega Bloks that I got as a stress relief mechanism during grad school to a needy family. It's hard to part with that stuff, but it also feels like I got it a lifetime ago, and it might be better off with kids who will play with it.

Just found a Wii with all of the cables and an HDMI adapter put out on the curb. It doesn't have any Wiimotes and I don't know if it works, but I have enough of the former, and am willing to test the latter - especially if there are WiiWare games on the hard drive!

So far in my GTA class, my students had at least heard of the majority of the games we looked at - the notable exception being GTA Advance. This week, I threw them for a loop by tossing L.A. Noire at them as a sort of 'anti-GTA' and a way of highlighting Galloway's allegories of control concept.

Y'know, I've seen a lot of people dragging the Switch for being underpowered, but, between using it for teaching and my 4-hour commutes, it is currently my most played console. I have beaten several games on it this term, and it has been a lifesaver.
