With zero irony, this is the anime announcement that's got me the most hooked. Also helps its an anime original.

Studio Trigger has revealed a 4th project from director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima. The duo previously worked together on Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, and Promare.

UPDATE: ITS NOT HAPPENING, TRIGGER STAFF SAID SO, THANK GOODNESS. Do hope its an anime original running for two cours though. I need that high TTGL and KLK had.

Immediately clocked in Mutaguchi's style from seeing those two pics, and the key visual doesn't help either. Its almost like his work on the SSSS series. Really cool that he's the mechanical designer/director, since he follows Obari's style, who worked on the OG series. The mecha is in good hands.

First impression of Nanoha Exceeds: Gun Blaze Vengeance. Very positive. The first episode being double length helps a lot. The tone and story direction reminds me of Chainsaw Man's first part. Def an interesting approach for Nanoha. Shiina is really damn cool for the new protag.

Can we all just take a moment to admire the Masami Ozone artwork featured at the end of episodes 3 and 4 of Giant Robo? Absolutely gorgeous.

I know little to nothing about Rayearth, but I am super happy to see Hiroki Mutaguchi working on more mecha anime again with this remake.

The next TRIGGER anime original is gonna be another Imaishi work, but its also apparently also going to be his last... That's leaving me mulling and pretty bittersweet. He's the director who basically got me into anime as a whole starting with Gurren Lagann almost a whole entire decade ago.
