Im still thinking about Death Stranding 2's final act from last night, went from cackling like a hyena to having my jaw on the floor and back again, actual insanity to see Kojima taking the piss out of himself in the most expensive way possible. Elite Shitpost gaming.

Finished Death Stranding 2. I can safely call this my favorite Kojima Productions game since MGS3. It rides the line between adoration and self satire in a way that could only ever work in the medium of video games. On top of that, its just damn fun to play. Loved it.

I’d rather a remake of Twilight Princess using most of the mangas story as a basis if we get a full remake of one of the 3D Zelda’s but that ain’t gonna happen cause that would have me on some “GREATEST GAME EVER???????” behavior

Resurrecting one of my favorite early 2010's formats to describe how Death Stranding 2 has been making me feel further ive gotten into it.

Death Stranding 2 keeps throwing sound effect parodies and game mechanics I would never have expected, this might be the most deeply soaked in oldhead anime/toku that any of Kojimas games have ever been and thats nuts to me knowing MGS.

Getter Robo High (and Devolution years before it) getting official english releases before any of Ishikawas work is so wild to me lol

Speaking of manga endings and general weekly discussion being ass ive been convinced for years of what the One Piece itself actually is ever since Oda said it was a physical object and if im even close to correct I already expect the most embarrassing discussions ever.

CSM part 2 has for sure been meandering and badly paced in places compared to part 1 and in general is overall a weaker read, but I think boiling a lesser sequel down to "themes and such" is a crazy undersell of what the story (and Fujimoto himself) are clearly doing lol.

Finished my first run of RE9. An absolute blast, this game felt like a "Resident Evil: Greatest Hits" compilation but way better paced and executed than it was in the last attempt at this (RE6). While I do have some issues with certain aspects, its really damn good.

Gonna finish RE9 tomorrow cause I can tell im at the final bit, so far really enjoying my time with the game, its so flagrant with its pandering in a way that has me cackling up constantly. This game is so stupid (affectionate), but on top of that it just feels great to play.

Over the last few days on and off ive been playing Kouji Kenjou's new game Mukuro No Rasen. Its a really addictive mixture of Icy Tower and Vampire Survivors style gameplay that's eaten way more of my time than I thought it would. Simple but really fun core loop.
