🚨 Update on CDC staffing situation. It remains fluid. 🌊 With a lack of transparency from HHS, it is hard to confirm the numbers and if any addition cuts are coming. We estimate ~600 people were let go between Oct 10–11. Grant us patience and grace, as we gather further details to share.

We are still trying to count how many folks were RIFed last night at CDC - it's in the HUNDREDS. We've lost people working on measles, pertussis, and Ebola outbreaks. We've lost the staff at MMWR, the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, where healthcare providers go to learn about new outbreaks.
