Jay B said this morning to CDC staff, we should depoliticize the work CDC does. Really, Jay? That would be fabulous. If that is what you want Jay, why are you speaking at CPAC this week?

The only person to get a standing ovation during the CDC All-Hands today was a CDC staffer who was asking Jay a question. Paraphrasing, there is a lot of talk about restoring public's trust in CDC. What about restoring CDC staff's trust in CDC and HHS leadership? ❤️‍🔥 👏 🔥 😍

During CDC all-hands today, Jay B was asked what happens if there’s no CDC director nominee by tomorrow, and he said that he’ll be put in place as acting in the capacity of the acting director." So this administration's backup plan is breaking the law if a nomination is not named by the deadline?

"It’s heartbreaking to see the fissures between the public and the agencies that I love" says Jay. Are these the same fissures that Jay, himself, helped inspire within the public? 🥴

Jay wants CDC to leave the past in the past. (paraphrased from CDC all-Hands) CDC and federal employees have been traumatized for over a year. We are just supposed to forget about it? F@%$ that!

Acting Director, Jay B, said he's asking for a revision to the CDC hiring plan to "bring back some of the chronic disease folks" who were RIFed April 1, 2025. Say what? Let us just say we will believe this when we see it in writing.

If Jay was earnestly excited about scientific progress with PREP, does he know that the research program was dismantled and the end HIV initiative was destroyed? He came off very tone deaf by talking a lot about HIV prevention and control while that staff was hit hard by RIFs.

CDC staff are left wondering if Jay knows the difference between epidemic, pandemic, and outbreak. He has used them incorrectly in this morning's CDC All-Hands. 😬

CDC is having its first All-Hands meeting since June of 2025. This is not normal. We usually had them every 2-3 months. This is Jay’s first All-Hands, so his first time addressing all of CDC staff. What type of “tea” do you want after? You know if we were to spill some “tea”, what would you want?
