Banana split lady PR n stuff (a bit like HR Pufnstuf)
Happy birthday Roy Wood, most famously of Wizzard. How I loved his mad hair and makeup when I was little. And he lived up the road near Wimbledon Village which was very exciting for me too

For the past few months I have been travelling weekly into town to visit a friend in hospital and each time walking from Waterloo to Russell Square and back. So, tell me, when did they the make it legal in Central London for cyclists to ride through red lights?

Delighted to see (and very happy to contribute to) this hefty oral history of Paul Weller by Dan Jennings. Itās a fascinating read. I know Weller has been approached to write an autobiography a few times but didnāt feel ready to commit - Dan has now done all the work for him.

Helping a chum out with some work for the band Feeder which made me revisit this ridiculously underrated single from nearly 30 yrs ago - where a comment has perfectly described it as a "Dreampop hidden gem".

ICYMI....my very good friend, Phil King
@junkshopper.bsky.social
, has been involved in a compilation album. 'All The Young Droids: Junkshop Synth pop 1978-1985' is a new 2LP/2CD compilation that charts the underbelly of the epoch-defining sound of the synthesiser in 80s popular music. More info: -

I can also 100% recommend this book. It's dark and hilarious and REEKS of the old world of fags, booze, pubs, jealousy over other people's fame, sudden fights, problematic trousers and rock'n'roll, whatever she is. A genuine classic.
