This is hands down the jankiest video cable I've ever used, but as a proof of concept, it 100% worked! I can totally feed a jamma CGA signal straight into my GBS-Control and it will work.

Built myself a GBS-Control video scaler. Not the prettiest wiring job, but it works. My plan is to use it in an arcade cabinet. If I can't have a CRT in my cabinet, then I at least want a good scaler, and the un-modded GBS units just ain't good enough.

RIP Bobby Prince. His music legacy will live on, making inspired music for Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, countless others. A true legend. And such a nice man, great musician, wonderful, fun-loving man, nothing but happy memories of him. A loss to the world.

Went out of the house on my own for the first time since surgery today! Just went to Walmart. Not a huge adventure or anything, but I did pretty well! Got worn out about 10 minutes in, but I think that's still pretty good progress!

I'm so glad I took some extra days off to recover. Originally I would have started back to work today, but ain't no way that would have worked out. Monday still isn't the two weeks the surgeon wanted, but it's a lot better than only 1 week.

I didn't realize just how bad off I was until after my surgery. I've got stitches and cuts, feel like I got kicked in the groin, hurt everywhere, and can't move well. And despite that I still feel better than I did a week ago. I'm not sure how I was functioning.

Surgery went well. I'm back home. Apparently I had a third hernia. They found it while fixing the other two. No wonder I've felt like garbage for so long. They did go ahead and fix the 3rd while in there. No I'm just going to rest as much as I can.

Today is surgery day. I'm nervous, but ready to get it done.

Why are there so many bootleg King of the Hill DVDs out there. It's hard to find legit copies of the later seasons. It wouldn't be too bad if the bootlegs at least used dual layer DVDs, but nope, they use single layer and compress the crap out of the video.

I'm so tired. No matter how much I sleep I never feel like I'm getting any real rest. I've got to try and de-stress before my surgery, but work doesn't want to let up any, and I have less energy to do anything. It compounds and makes things worse.

Not sure what I think about this one. It looks like a nice toy, but it doesn't really look like what I want from Missing Link.

Sometimes I wonder if I take too many pictures of our dog. But then I think about how I've never once wished I had less pictures of my previous dogs. I always wish I had more. So sorry Selene, I'm taking all the pictures of you that I can.

I also went to Worlds of Fun for a quick visit today. Can't really ride anything right now, but it was still nice to walk around for a bit. Hopefully my surgery goes well and I can ride things again in a few months.

Lots of animals out in our back yard today. Tons of birds, a squirrel, two rabbits, and a ton of big fat bumble bees. It was lovely to sit and watch them all.
