I don't think I am excited for a single thing they showed in that state of play. Deus Ex was almost exciting, but then they showed it. The original wasn't ever a looker, but they managed to make it look way worse.

Haven't been great about controlling my blood sugar the last couple weeks. I need to buckle down and focus again.

I'm a bit nervous about flying. I haven't done it in 8 years. The actual flying part is fine, but I always get stressed at the stuff that goes with it. Doesn't help that our whole airport was rebuilt so it's not familiar anymore.

Working with real artists is such a nice experience. Getting something hand crafted feels so special, especially when you work with an artist enough that they learn exactly what you like. I treasure every piece of art I've had done and every artist I've worked with. No AI can replicate that.

When did big AAA single player first person shooters go out of popularity? I was looking for some to play on my Steam Deck while on vacation, and realized that there's not many of them these days. Feels weird since they were the dominate games for so long.

For some reason I woke up at like 3AM, and ordered some video games. I have no idea why I did that, and only barely remember it happening. Guess I'm getting Sonic Frontiers and Armored Core VI soon. 🤷

I have really been on a PS3 and Windows XP era gaming kick lately. I think playing the enhanced Splinter Cell mod kind of got me in the mood for that era.

I get that the old Soundwave had a bit too much surface detail, but they really smoothed the new version down way too much for my tastes. I'm good skipping and sticking with the dramatic capture version.

I can finally drive my car again. It took so long. I missed it.

Been playing around with overclocking the PS3. Forget the modern pro consoles, that gen is what really needed it. Even just a small bump in clock speeds makes a huge difference in framerate stability. You're not going to take a 30fps game to 60, but you'll at least actually get 30.

I'm not really a big box PC game collector, but I've always regretted getting rid of my RollerCoaster Tycoon boxes. Decided to treat myself and buy them back. Found them all in shockingly good shape Two were complete, one was box only. But I still have all the material, so that one is complete now.

I really like my new camera. I couldn't get anything close to this with my old ones.

I absolutely adore My Dress-Up Darling. Been slowly working my way through season 2, and it's been such a joy.

I just want to be able to drive my car again. 🙁

Upgraded the home server a bit. Swapped the Ryzen 2700x for a 3800x, added 16GB of RAM, added another 10TB hard drive, and set it to boot when it regains power. Not a huge upgrade, but hopefully it should keep it going for a while.

A week without being able to drive my car. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow I'll get my plates. Who knows at this point.

Ended up going with DOS instead of Windows 98. Should be good enough for some old DOS games.

I'm trying to give my old netbook some sort of purpose. It was too slow even for its time, but maybe it can be a good Windows 98 machine.

Really hoping that my car registration gets taken care of this week. If it doesn't I think I might have to contact a lawyer about it, and I really don't want to have to do that.

Today has sucked. Selene isn't feeling well and has had lots of accidents. And while I'm dealing with that, I also have been trying to find out what's going on with my car registration. Apparently it's stuck in some sort of weird limbo.

Got myself a new camera lens. It was used, and the auto-focus is a bit flaky, but it's been fun to play with so far. Though it's funny how it's bigger and heavier than the camera body.
