Got myself a small lightbox so that I could get back into doing toy photos more. Grabbed whatever random toys were around to play with it, and I think they came out pretty good! It's been a long time since I shot with a backdrop, so I'm out of practice. I don't remember everything I used to do.

I meet with a surgeon in a few weeks to discuss hernia treatment. I hope it goes well. A bit scared of surgery, but I'm willing to do it to get things fixed. I'm so tired of feeling like I'm being stabbed all the time.

I have the best wife. Since getting diagnosed with diabetes I've been sad about giving up hot chocolate, and not really having an alternative hot drink that I like. She tracked down some diabetic friendly hot chocolate for me and surprised me with it. I love her so much.

I feel like my urologist isn't looking at my test results, and just wants to treat based on his initial diagnosis, even though the CT scan showed something different. It's getting really frustrating, and I'm really tempted to find a different doctor.

My Plex server has gotten so big that I had to add a SAS card. Maybe I'm overdoing it.

Sonic Superstars is such a massive downgrade from Sonic Mania. Mania was near perfect. Superstars feels really generic and bland.

Stupid Windows Storage Spaces can only do parity based on an odd number of drives, so my 4 drive array loses 33% of it's space rather than 25%. 😭 Oh well. I guess that gives me an excuse to buy a 5th 10TB drive. With that much space maybe I'll start ripping my 4K discs too.

I always hate when I rebuild my storage array, so my data only exists on my backup drives. Being down to only 1 copy of everything makes me nervous.

The good news is the Virtual Boy headset for the Switch 2 feels exactly like I remember the real Virtual Boy feeling. The bad news is it feels exactly like I remember a real Virtual Boy feeling. I have no idea how to comfortably play this thing.

I really like Powermaster Prime so far. He's a big chunky brick of a toy, but very playable still. I see now why he's so well remembered. He's a lot more fun the the more modern version that I have.

I feel lucky that I grew up in a time where life was allowed to fade into the past and be forgotten. There's not thousands of videos and pictures of my high school years. There's not blog posts and social media comments about everything we did. Embarrassing stuff is forgotten and gone.

Got an original G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime at a local shop today! I've always wanted one. Missed out on the reissue from ways back, so it's extra nice to have an original one.

I've felt like I've been getting stabbed for the last two years, and I just now finally got a doctor to agree that I need some testing to figure out what's wrong. Why does it take so long to get doctor's to listen to you?

I think Maketoys Giant is still my favorite Devastator. If only it was in scale with the Combiner Wars combiners.

My childhood Grimlock was a loose one that I found in a Goodwill. It's always looked grody. Finally gave him a deep clean and a fresh set of stickers. He looks a ton better! Apparently I put the shoulder stickers on wrong. Oh well. That gives him character.

For the first time in over a decade I don't have any Transformers pre-ordered. It's kind of sad. Feels like an end to an era that I wasn't quite ready to have end. The prices are just too high to justify anymore. I'll only get stuff if I can find it at a discount.
