What will happen to the 82 USFS experimental forests around the country? Many sites have decades-long experiments that are tracking how forests are changed by timber harvesting practices and climate change. As I say here, “you can't just pick up an experimental forest site and move it to SLC.”

Sorry to sound cynical, but I listened to news reports and broadcast countdowns for Mercury and Gemini missions, watched the moon landing, heard the good news when Apollo 13 came back around the moon. And I just don't have much interest left in people briefly leaving the good Earth.

While he's made compromises with Republicans that I don't like, on funding bills and some other issues, Evers has always been solid in opposing bills like these (to be clear, these are GOP bills limiting gender-affirming care, participation on school sports teams, etc.)
