I finished reading Babel. It was recommended to me a lot and I see why. It’s an instant classic, dark academia, historical fantasy, and it has evocative undertones. While there was very little character development, the plot was worth it

I spent a little time being purely creative, in a non-business capacity. Creating music, writing, drawing. It’s amazing how much of myself was restored. It reminded me why I do what I do

I wrote some dungeon synth music and composed a vocal melody just for Melissa to sing. While she recorded it, I heard some majestic chittering outside. Look who came to sing along to our music!

It seems that without fail, the fastest way to get myself hired is to mind my own business and start creating things for myself.

Take pictures. Keep a diary. Create all the art you can even if you're not good at it. Consume all the art you can even if it's not good. Don't be afraid to say I love you when you mean it. Care for the vulnerable. Don't worry if you're smart. Prioritize doing good over being nice.
