I finally watched The New Mutants last night and, to be honest, I didn't hate it? Maybe it's me not being an MCU veteran but aside from a couple of clunky exposition scenes, I thought as a Marvel "horror" film, it was actually pretty fun Also my love for Anya Taylor-Joy grows ✨

So without further ado- my favorite games I played this year! First up- The Last Faith Bloodborne meets 2D Metroidvania with gorgeous pixel art. I know some folks were mixed on this game but man I loved it from start to finish. The dark tone and flexibility in gameplay style was chef's kiss

So this year I finished 83 games, of which only about 5 were replays and three or so were remasters of old games. Definitely going to highlight some of the best ones I played soon in a thread because there are some sleeper hits out there.

Times were simpler when I thought Lady Gaga meowed in the middle of Judas.

I heard a few people suggest "No Through Road" for YT short horror films and especially for an indie found footage film, it packs some good punch in its four parts. Absolutely worth the half hour or so it takes to watch through the series. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Reading an article on how Suikoden: Star Leap is meant to harken back to games like Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger but is reminiscent of Octopath Traveler 0 but never mentions the rest of the series' past and going back to THAT? My villain era is going full blast now.
