Today we welcomed Professor Sándor Gonda from the University of Debrecen, for a guest talk on plant-microbe interactions at the plant metabolome level in horseradish. He shared interesting insights on a species that most of us had never studied before! 🌱

I am surprised, deeply honored, and thrilled to share I've been appointed as a Lead Author for the @ipcc.bsky.social Seventh Assessment Report (AR7 WGI)! I will be contributing to Chapter 4, "Advances in process understanding of Earth system changes" - a topic close to my heart.

Meet Mehrshad, a PostDoc at VOLT researching #VOC exchanges between the #ocean and the #atmosphere 🌊☁️. Using high-frequency measurements from a remote field site, he focuses on understanding how various physical and biological factors affect these exchanges.

Day 2 of the PhD course organized by @voltcenter.bsky.social and funded by the Faculty of Science @ucph.bsky.social is in full swing. Yesterday, there was a mix of introductions, lab tour and a scents tour at the botanical gardens. Today we delve into the scientific programme.

We are hosting a PhD course on volatiles in ecosystems for 30 international PhD students. Today we heard flash talks by all participants, got an introduction to isotopes, a lab tour and a tour in the Botanical Garden of #SNM. We are thankful for Faculty of Science @ucph.bsky.social for funding.

It was a pleasure to visit @uofglasgow.bsky.social Plant Science symposium to give a talk about our work with plant volatiles in Arctic ecosystems. Learnt a lot and enjoyed the exceptional sunny weather not so common for Scotland.

We used #ARALAB climate chambers to mimic future #climate conditions and studied how arctic plants respond to a warmer future with more frequent extremes. We will have a few more papers from this large experiment, including setting the observed responses in ecosystem model #LPJGUESS. Stay tuned.
