Real talk? I think the DnD-style Sorcerers and Warlocks would be perfect examples. One has magic because part of the genetic code to make them was from something unusual, who knows what could happen there. One has magic being forced into them because of a pact with some Eldritch deity, also bad.

Stumbled into something unexpected? No. DID something unexpected? Yes. They decided to ensure that their infiltration of a mega corporation's HQ by summoning four monkies, giving them a bunch of explosives, and sending them off like kamikaze pilots. It worked.
