Clouds and stars on Glastonbury Tor. Taken early hours of the morning.

A bird I only see a few times a year (if that), a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. These birds are one of the few species able to eat hairy caterpillars. Cuckoos have a special stomach lining that prevents the prickly hairs of hairy caterpillars from doing damage to their digestive system.

A Common Nighthawk, a bird that I've seen a few times in the air but never perched until now. That beak is adorably tiny, but they can open up their mouths very wide as so to hunt down aerial insects. These birds will hunt during the day but are busiest at dawn and dusk.

A Magnolia Warbler in a Winterberry bush. This migrating warbler wasn't interested in the berries, but the leaves caught this bird's attention. This warbler took a quick bath by getting his/her feathers wet from the wet leaves (too quick for me to get any photos but it was fun to watch.)
