At conventions I've literally said to customers "don't take my word for it, I'm the marketing manager. Everything I say is laced with the poison of capitalism" before pitching (and selling) a game. Honesty about your relationship to a product doesn't need to be disguised. Honesty can be valued.

If a publisher uses genAI "art" in their product then I make fair assumptions about their commitment (or complete lack thereof) to quality in every aspect of their #BoardGame from design and development to production.

You might think I'm a big board gamer, but my wife is even more so. During PAXU she's been sharing photos of the games she's bought, played and can't wait to share with me. Getting hyped for a December full of good humans and great games.

Have I played many games at PAX Unpugged? Nope. Have I got to see countless amazing humans for hugs and long overdue catch-ups? YES. I love board games, but people make conventions.

The Indie Games Night Market was amazing to see. So many creatives, and so many people showing up interested and excited to buy the things they make. Support your local/non-local indie creators folks.

As I get older (it's happening to you too!) I'm trying to take better care of myself. I decided to start going to the gym in 2022, and just hit 250 workouts! While I'm not setting any records, the consistency has helped my mental health and physical well-being. Who knew moving was good for you?
