as the northern united states runs to post their northern lights photos, i am reminded of driving to a chicago beach last year to get my own photos of them, and spending an hour searching for any sign of a natural wonder while a guy played obnoxiously loud rap music from his car

ever since youtube said they'd start adding AI smoothing on videos, i'm noticing quite a few "real" videos that nevertheless look generated. i wonder how long it will be until a company complains because their customers criticize them for using AI in their ads, even if they actually didn't.
