The coping therapy group I'm in suggested journaling every day about things that give me anxiety. I can allow myself to ruminate, but only for twenty mins. I like this idea. I have a bunch of blank journals I've never used lying around that are perfect for this.

Played Borderlands 4 for 3 days straight and all I want to do is play more. Clocked in approx 28 hrs. Damn the work week. This is my hyperfixation right now and work is getting in the way. It's a pretty good game and highly addicting. I can't wait till the weekend rolls around again.

One week until Borderlands 4 is playable. I'm hyped. I took the day off from work and me and @mauserfrau.bsky.social have plans to get up at the crack of dawn to play probably all day. I'm even pre-planning my meals and breaks. And, hey, day off work is always welcomed. Can hardly wait.

I finally feel up to going back to work on my extreme horror novel. I just need to script out some scenes, finish others, and I'll probably be pretty far into the narrative by then. I had a fair bit of it done. I'm just a really slow writer & get burned out easily.

The therapist I built good rapport with for almost two years is no longer taking clients through the platform I use. I dunno if she's switching platforms or just not doing telehealth anymore. I'm really upset over the change. It came very suddenly without warning. My other options don't seem as good

Going back to NY in July for a couple of days. It'll be like going from hotter to just plain hot. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be a cooler week, but I doubt it. Mid-summer is brutal in downstate NY. Should be fun still. I plan to get to see some old friends and chill out.

The Death Stranding 2 trailer looks so damn amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the first game, so I'm psyched for this one. It's like Kojima cranked the first game up to 1000. It drops in June and that's not too long of a wait

Bought Avowed over the weekend & have been playing the hell out of it. It's a fun first person RPG that I don't have to invest a ton of effort into to enjoy. It's snowed here and my office is going to be closed for two days in a row. This is crazy. I moved down to Florida never expecting to see snow again. It's not like up north where they're prepared for snow & ice either. It becomes pretty treacherous here due to lack of sanding & plowing

Been watching Dexter: Original Sin & it's got me obsessed with the Dexter series again. I started watching the original one over from the beginning and it's aged pretty well, still darkly enthralling with compelling narratives. Even at its weakest points, this was one of my top shows of all time.

Pantheon is another great animated sci-fi series like Scavenger's Reign that I feel is being overlooked. It took a bit for me to get into this show, but it's well worth sticking around for. I feel the themes are very profound and the plots are addicting.

I am full of pizza, cake, and pie from work mini party. Too much junk food. Need to go home so I can pass out in a food coma. I think that's legit grounds for an early leave day.

Devastated that Scavenger's Reign isn't getting a second season. That show is so profound and beautiful and so much what I want to see in an animated sci-fi series. Maybe there's hope for it being renewed someday but it doesn't look good.
