Today is a day for teaching myself the things I needed to hear as a child. ✨

Finished it today and it was simply too pure and golden for words 😭🌼

On the 2nd of September I will be launching my fourth book set in Strangehollow. Strangehollow is a world I created where you get to learn about the strange beasts and magical beings which live in a vast enchanted forest (and it's extremities!). #artbook #fairytale #folklore

You know the book is five stars when it’s almost 1am and you just finished it and you’re wide awake thinking ”how am I ever gonna emotionally recover from this” And you hafta pick up another book just to calm your mind for sleep 🌙

Your inner child asked me to tell you that they want to read a fantasy story and could you please just prop the book up and turn the page every few minutes?

Cartoonist Maia Kobabe's Gender Queer is one of the most frequently banned books in the US, a fact that is now fueling a fundraising campaign called "Fight Censorship, Read Comics."

Thankfully this bumpy ass car ride has still afforded me a chance to sketch 🖤

I was traveling this week so I didn’t get to attend a protest. I did however draw a big “No Kings” in my sketchbook and leaned out my window cheering on all protesters I came across. There were so many folks out in Manitowoc, WI I could have cried. Here’s some signs I’d have liked to hold ✨

When I was a kid I remember watching Sailor Moon only when I was sick, because it was on at a time I wouldn’t normally be home. My kid had a fever so I put it on for her and we’ve just kept watching. My son loves to quote Usagi (I will punish you!!) but so far I love Sailor Mars 🖤 How do yall pick?!

A friend gave me these rings cause she knows I’m a little witchy and I like pretty stones. A neighbor came over and we watched for rainbows and talked about how spirituality can be what we make it. I’m learning when you are true to yourself like calls to like. Life feels rich today. Happy Beltane 🌸

Today I met a sweet lady at the thrift store. She was chatty with my two year old, I complimented her outfit, she asked if I watch Apple TV, because her daughter is in a show on Apple TV. I say what show, she says Severance. I met Helly R’s mom. She was buying books for our public schools. ♥️
