Thinking about Edgardo and his family tonight and all the victims of wanton ICE violence. We will not stand by and watch as Trump’s immigrant terror cowboys kidnap our neighbors and tear families apart. This is not who we are. Not as a city. Not as a nation.

I spent the last few hours at 26 Federal Plaza. My main takeaway: if this is what Trump's ICE gestapo is doing to elected officials, how are they treating our most vulnerable neighbors when there are no cameras and no witnesses?

Trump’s plan to unleash his ICE cowboy gestapo isn’t about public safety it’s about authoritarian power. If this is how ICE treats the person second in the mayoral line of succession when the cameras are turned on... This doesn't make anybody safer.
