Theories and "expectations" have had a nasty impact on culture. They just set people up to get mad when the story the artist tells doesn't line up with whatever people imagined based off "patterns" that don't really mean anything. Wait for the end, enjoy the ride, and let a story be what it is.

I read something somewhere that good shading can save even the worst drawings. I don't think this one is bad per se, but it definitely needs saving.
