What's a machine game? Is a book a machine game? It's certainly more machinic than a movie is. But is interpreting a movie through a certain lens machinic? Is this post machinic? Maybe not, but is reading this post machinic? Is asking "is this machinic?" machinic?

🪞okay so the good news is i got my cousin to scan some drawings from my great-great-aunt-or-other. the bad news is said cousin is not...the MOST tech literate. so i guess these will have to do until the originals come in the mail 🙄

i am unfortunately quite allergic to lore. but i also, ironically, have grown impatient with genre-, setting-, and tone-agnostic games. if there's a big paragraph of things the game COULD be, I'm skipping forward until i find mechanics that the designer DOES care about.

most of my design projects are stalled out because they need playtesting and my schedule kinda doesn't accommodate for that right now x_x
