You have permission to relax. And if you want to actually be effective in resisting fascism, you should do it as much as you can manage. (Not that it's always easy! The goal is to try.) People telling you that you aren't scared enough are either misguided or trying to provoke reassurances.

And if it helps I'm saying this to you because I need to hear it. Humans are survivors. History is sin and savagery we survived it. You are a survivor. That is why you are here, now. And you will be here, tomorrow. And you will do what it takes to make sure that the people you love are there too.

And you also need to ground yourself. Ground yourself the banal mundane shit of life that makes any of this worthwhile. Spend time with friends. Play games. Consume art. Go to a kids kids birthday party. Life goes on because it must and eventually you will remember that you are part of life.

You all (and I) need to stop thinking about the future and what will happen if we maintain this course. It does not actually help. It feels like mastering the problem and mastering yourself and it isn't. You need to think about what to do when the opportunity arises and how to recognize opportunity.
