The tricky thing that I don't hear often about when looking for jobs in games is that not only are you competing with the absolute giant mass of people looking for work right now, but even the people that -are- employed.

Even as I do this contract work, I have to keep my eyes out for jobs in this hellish market. Mondays kinda bring on an extra sense of dread because you're half-expecting more terrible news in the industry. It's rough out there folks. Just trying to take it day by day though.

People keep saying corporations aren't people but then go and talk about entire entities as if they were a singular person and the disparity is making me go crazy

Really great bit about how breaking things down to their simplest forms can help you scale things effectively. Different key poses and determining the basic shapes of the stuff you'll be picking up. Simple, scalable and really effective.

I'm lucky I have a roof over my head and food thanks to my mom. But it's been two years out of work except for the occasional freelance.
