Not enough is said about how Tomioka Atsuhiro truly took ownership as the head writer (series composition) for Diamond & Pearl. Pokemon battles under Tomioka always had the most fascinating insight into the characters' battle techniques via Takeshi's commentary. It saves on drawings AND is fun!

Slight update since noon: Journeys may not be going directly to Disney+ as speculated. It seems to be headed to...Samsung TV, which, correct me if I'm wrong, you need to literally own a Samsung TV to access. Don't worry, I'm sure it'll also end up on Poob at some point though.

I was involved with multiple early attempts to sub Pokémon and it's crazy to think it took this long for the entire series to finally be subtitled. I will say though, I do think it's a shame TPCi still won't do legal streaming of Pokemon with proper subs. Few things we got was via TPC rather.

Rare that I tweet about Trails stuff, but about 70 hours into Daybreak and it is astounding how much of a narrative improvement it is over later Cold Steel just by having the main character be an adult and letting him kill people. Very cold take, I know.

A big problem with most "media literacy" comments is that people aren't distinguishing between media literacy and simple literacy. Simple literacy is knowing that a line going up on a graph is good (usually). Media literacy is knowing how people distort axes on graphs to mislead the audience.
