Anyone who only, watches one genre or one type of media is doing themself a huge disservice. Not to say you have to like *everything*, but it's worth exploring other mediums or other kinds of stories.

The general population's dismissal and derision of cute girls anime, and anime with a predominantly or entirely female cast in general, is deeply rooted in misogyny. Saying you don't like anime: "Because of the girls' high-pitched voices" is also SUPER sexist btw.
