This happened yesterday. Stuck in the mud! We parked on soft ground at Yesnaby, Orkney. Several attempts by friendly people trying to push us out made it worse. Van is too heavy. We called Green Flag and soon got pulled back onto the road by a local guy. So fast, I never got chance for a photo.

I think it's quite amusing when archaeologists like to have a jolly laugh about drinking some beer but many of them seem to run away from a discussion about how it is actually made or the possible archaeological evidence for malt and ale/beer brewing. (Been wanting to say this for a while now). 😉 🍻

Remember carparkaeology? This particular one involves circular features revealed where the car park used to be for visitors at the Ness of Brodgar, Orkney. I'm being a bit light hearted here, but it'll certainly be interesting to find out what it is/was. Digging starts tomorrow.
