Kind words here but working in an ED is hard. It often felt like we were the drain towards which the s**t was hosed. You saw almost daily the worst of everything. People in absolute distress on the worst day of their life. Burnout is real. Having to fight for resources makes it feel even harder.

I am not a GP. I would even consider myself a poor substitute for a GP. General Practice and Emergency Medicine are both specialisms that deal with the gamut of human disease, but at wildly different acuities. Nothing can replace a properly funded and staffed Primary Care service. Nothing.
