Nah man a big part of why the UB stuff makes me sad is cause I know it's extremely popular so they're going to keep doing it despite it making the parts of the game I deeply care about worse. Like I know a bunch of people are going to buy the 6th marvel set but that doesn't make my FNM fire.

That's a wrap in Silksong for me! I had to look up 1 tool and 2 relics to finish it off. Game was a fantastic next step for Hollow Knight, and I loved the movement upgraded especially. Reaper Crest enjoyer btw

True Pokemon Kaizo difficulty would just be IRL elements added: Poke centers cost 200 pokedollars plus an additional 150 "ball storage fee" plus 50 more for using the PC that's required for sign-in because its perpetually understaffed with a 1.5 hr wait. And that’s if you have poke-insurance 😶

Unpopular opinion or maybe it's just me, but Silksong is much easier to me than Hollow Knight was. Between tools and the fact that the movement tech is just so superior that you always have something left in the tank if you burn an ability at a bad time.

If I cared about spider-man, I think I'd be upset half the set is goofball references and UB: NYC. Too much trying to be "cute" instead of good design.

UB sets have access to massive universes, deep lore, infinite design space, and this makes the cut? Really?

Nothing really feels legendary anymore with UB. Tons of these characters would have been just fine without the type line

Randomly dusted off rakdos reanimator for the standard challenge this morning. 4-2, died for top 8 last rd vs. prowess due to some very unfortunate timing on drawing tapped lands. Overwhleming Surge felt like the best answer in that matchup though, and still think the deck has legs!

Another RC, another completely broken format.... This ban announcement cadence has to change.

Design on FF cards seems to vary wildly from 'tremendously awesome' to 'used the lowest hanging fruit possible'. Case in point on the latter - Ultima Weapon. In VII, Ultimate weapons had hidden abilities - Ultima Weapon was more powerful the higher your HP. Total miss here just using a bunch of 7s

Leaning towards Selesnya Token Control for Hartford - couldn't make Reanimator keep up vs. Izzet. FWIW not playing Izzet is probably throwing. That deck is basically a modern deck. But I've got these authorities and high noons to keep letting me play beans so mise!
