Been playing Pokemon Lets Go with Teddy and this game is just constantly in the way of the fun. Can't catch pokemon because that requires motion controls, can't read the cutscenes, can't navigate the menus. Obviously I'm helping him out but how does a pokemon game for small children not exist?

Serious commander post: rhystic study is impressively unfun. The baseline taxing effect is boring and lame but more than that the pause between every single spell asking if the player wants to pay and then they forgot so they have to rethink their turn. Just the antithesis of a "for fun" format.

This applies to every engineering job I've had (and I'm sure other male dominated fields as well). My "bad" female coworkers have been like 40th percentile and the worst performer on every team has been a white man.

SCG Baltimore testing update: lost a close 3 game set as reanimator to ketramose ft soul guide lantern and ghost vacuum and the flash cat that exiles stuff and rest in peace. Ironically all that stuff would have been fine but indestructible lifelink was too much.

After an infinite string of 3-2s added town greeter and immediately trophied? Is greeter better than spider? Haven't played enough to tell but it was extremely good this league. Fatespinner did not impact the games at all and I boarded it out a lot but in theory I like extra spidermen.

Every screenshot I've seen of the new pokemon game looks like they opened the metaverse and pasted in some Pokemon models from a game with actual art direction.

As someone with a 4 year old who's very into pokemon but could not care less about jrpg mechanics it's really weird to me that there's no pokemon game where you just explore exotic locations and find little guys to catch/run around with.

Reanimator 🏆 let's go!!! Still fiddling around with the SB but I think the red mana gives you pretty substantial. Terror because it's castable in long games + OTKs through interaction like Floodmaw and Torch because 1 mana spells are busted and exiling Vivi is excellent. FOMO also wrecks with Ardyn.

Teddy's been getting into pokemon. His favorite is Raidachu (the evolved form of Pikachu). I hope he never learns how to say it properly.

There are a lot of people saying the ending of Hades 2 sucks and not enough people saying the entire story up until that point is also real bad. Like how are you going to build up Typhon as this big bad and then when you finally beat him you get a placeholder scene with some gods and no one cares.

It's wild that Hades 2 has two seperate routes with "final bosses" and you don't get meaningful story progression from beating either of them. The we're at war framing really doesn't work when neither success or failure matters to the story.
