Tough political choices doesn’t involve cutting benefits for disabled people. It involves standing up to greedy polluters and raising their taxes.

Complex trauma survivors can be ambivalent about making decisions & cutting off options-- but having decisions taken out of our hands, especially without our knowledge or against our will, tends to be triggering as hell.

Trauma Brain-- the internalized voices of our bullies & abusers-- wants us overreacting to our flaws & limitations & mistakes. Because if we're constantly up in our head about how much we suck, we're not designing or building or living a life. Don't fall for it. Stay present.

We are working our trauma recovery when we choose what our adult relationships will look & feel like-- and when we set limits w/ relationships (romantic, platonic, professional, or spiritual) that chip away at our safety, stability, & self-esteem.

Starve them of attention. They aren't worth the repetitive strain injury. You are giving them a platform if you continue to engage. You're giving them a way to be heard. Defend marginalised people, but don't continue to engage with people that do not wish to learn.
